CRUZ 10 Years

GRAN CRUZ aged for 10 years is an old Port with spicy and candied fruit notes which perfectly accompanies duck and traditional desserts.


Recipe Pastéis de nata

People : 12 Preparation :20 min Cooking time :10 min

Ingredients :

  • 50 cl milk
  • 250 g sugar
  • 35 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 uncooked puff pastry

Preparation :

  • Split the vanilla pod lengthways and heat it with the milk in a saucepan. Mix the flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • When the milk comes to a boil, remove the saucepan from the heat, take the vanilla pod out of the milk and scrape any remaining seeds into the milk. Add this preparation to the flour, sugar and salt mixture.
  • Add four egg yolks and one whole egg, as well as the 3 tbsp of lemon juice. Mix the batter thoroughly.
  • Spread the puff pastry into small "pastéis de nata" tins and spoon the mixture into the tins with a tablespoon.
  • Bake at approximately 200°/210°C (thermostat 7) for approximately 10 minutes.
