Port Grape Varieties

Port wine is prepared with a blend of several grape varieties. All the grapes that go into Port are, by definition, grown in the Douro Valley. Port is matured in the Douro Valley or in Vila Nova de Gaia, south of Porto on the banks of the Douro River.

Red or Rosé Ports

The grape varieties used in Red or Rosé Ports are:

White Ports
